Environmental Monitoring
Responsible for the coordination, completion, and oversight of sampling for various environmental media including: groundwater, surface water, soil, and hazardous/non hazardous materials at numerous Phase II assessment sites.
Directed and documented several dig and haul remediations.
Provided oversight and documented over 100 underground storage tank closures.
Supervised the installation of groundwater and soil vapor monitor wells.
Lead field person on the investigation of eleven solid waste open dumpsites.
Supervised drilling activities for pre-closure assessments at 65 underground storage tank sites.
Assisted in numerous long-term groundwater monitoring projects.
Ohio Voluntary Action Program (VAP) Environmental Assessments
Conducted or assisted with over eight Phase I and Phase II Ohio VAP sites. Provided complete oversight for all Phase II field activities to include: exploratory soil borings, test pits, monitoring well installation, hydrogeologic testing, and hazardous waste characterization in accordance with the Ohio Administration Code (OAC) Rule 3745-300-07.
Provided key oversight for all remediation activities at a 13-acre industrial site, which included asbestos abatement monitoring, excavation of fourteen (14) areas-of-concern containing hazardous and non-hazardous waste, and monitoring of structure demolition activities.
Phase I Assessment and Phase II Site Investigation
Provided support on numerous Phase I property assessments for undeveloped and old industrial sites.
Installed remedial systems including soil vapor extraction; soil vapor extraction coupled with air sparging; groundwater pump-and-treat; free product recovery systems; and dual-phase extraction systems.
Maintained remedial systems and conducted compliance sampling.
Provided oversight for bio-remediation of soil and groundwater at five different sites.
Conducted environmental compliance audits for twenty retail gasoline facilities.
