Professional Experience

Mr. Rhinehart is responsible for overall management of SRW Environmental Services, Inc., and is the principal contact. He has over twenty (20) years of professional consulting experience including sales, marketing, administration, and engineering. Mr. Rhinehart routinely serves as Senior Project Manager for selected sites including Phase I/II assessments, comprehensive contaminate assessments, and remediation activities.

Select Project Experience

Mr. Rhinehart served as the principal Phase I Property Assessor on the Mosler Safe Plant No. 1, located in Hamilton, Ohio. Mosler designed and manufactured bank and security products at the site for more than 100 years. The site encompassed approximately 13 acres and includes a 450,000-square-foot manufacturing complex. Site activities included machining, plating, welding, painting, shearing, punching, cutting, milling, deburring, and metal cleaning. These processes used hazardous substances and petroleum. Production was frequently moved throughout the complex, resulting in a site-wide concern for contamination. This approach, in lieu of investigating, resulted in a substantial cost saving to the client.

Mr. Rhinehart conducted a Phase I Property Assessment under Ohio's Voluntary Action Program on a seven-acre site occupied by the H. P. Deuscher Foundry for over 112 years. The foundry complex totaled approximately 133,000 square feet of manufacturing area. Based on the information obtained from the property assessment, a site-wide Phase II Property Assessment was recommended.

Mr. Rhinehart has developed, managed, and conducted an environmental assessment for right-of-way acquisition for a major Corps of Engineers flood control project involving industrial property adjacent to a major stream known to have been significantly degraded by industrial discharges.

As Project Manager, oversaw greater than one hundred (100) Phase I and Phase II site assessments conducted throughout the eastern United States for a Fortune 500 company acquiring the properties. Duties included development of work plans, preparation of cost proposals, guidance on regulatory issues, technical oversight during data collection, evaluation, and report preparation. The work included the development of conceptual remedial strategies and cost estimates.

Directed numerous site assessments involving petroleum and petrochemical underground storage tanks. Responsibilities included the development of field sampling programs, the evaluation of analytical test results, and the preparation of reports summarizing the finding of the assessment.

Served as Project Manager for five (5) hazardous waste investigations for right-of-way being acquired for roadway construction by the State of Ohio. As Manager, provided technical support to characterize soil and groundwater and identify areas of environmental concern.

Involved in managing the assessment and subsequent remediation of twenty-three (23) gasoline service stations being acquired by a regional client in a single real estate transaction. Soil and groundwater remediation systems recommended included soil excavation and disposal, soil vapor extraction, aboveground biological treatment, and various groundwater pump-and-treat methods.

Directed the removal and disposal of greater than one hundred fifty (150) 55-gallon drums of hazardous waste from a manufacturing facility. The work was performed as a result of an administrative order from U. S. EPA Region 5.
