Environmental Site Assessments
Brownfields
Our ESA experts specialize in US EPA's All Appropriate Inquiry standard for Phase I ESAs and State-Specific Voluntary Cleanup Program standards for Phase I and Phase II ESAs. In fact, our in-house Certified Professional and site assessment team have completed more than 20 VCP-compliant Phase I and Phase II property assessments, and our CP has issued 14 No Further Action Letters to the State. These successful NFAs have provided our clients with 11 Covenants-Not-to Sue issued by the State and/or US EPA.
In addition to completing Phase I assessments, SRW's assessment team has experience in all aspects of Phase II assessments. These aspects include the development of field sampling plans, sampling environmental media using a variety of methods, classification of groundwater, determination and evaluation of exposure pathways, determination of applicable standards, and more.
In the event that a Phase II assessment identifies chemicals-of-concern above background or applicable standards, SRW has the experience and expertise to derive property specific risk based standards, and if necessary, to design and implement numerous remedial alternatives.
