Phase II Site Assessment of the Former Nibco Site
Dayton, OH
The City of Dayton contracted SRW to conduct a Phase II Site Assessment at the former Nibco site after receiving a $288,264 grant from the Clean Ohio Assistance Fund. The 12.5-acre foundry property formerly contained the Nibco Foundry from the late 1800s through the 1980s. The City expended City funds to demolish site buildings to ensure a comprehensive Phase II Assessment could be completed. SRW drilled 55 soil borings, installed 4 groundwater-monitoring wells, collected and analyzed soil and groundwater samples, classified groundwater, completed an exposure pathway analysis and prepared a Phase II Assessment report. The Nibco Property will be redeveloped into a new business park with easy access to downtown and major highways.
